Lift on '97 4Runner

I'm looking into my options for a lift on my 4Runner and in need of some advice. I don't do much off-roading and it's got 250,000 on it so I'm not looking to put much into a lift. Just looking for a little better ground clearance and mostly the look.

Are spacers the best way to go for a 1.5-2" lift?

Thanks

I would avoid spacers myself....

You likely have "butt sag". Check first with a dealership and see if your springs were ever replaced under warranty.

If not you could get some new springs for free.

Some guys are okay with spacers-while others eventually end up by upgrading to better springs. 906 Old Man Emu springs are an easy swap out for your rear springs.

See the sticky "about rear sag" in the 3rd Gen section for more information...

I'm running the Old Man Emu 890 rear springs and am happy with them. There are many choices.
