Lift options for an 05

Looking at lifts. Just like 1-2 inches total, nothing crazy. Have a 7 year old that needs to climb in!

I'm thinking Dobinsons, but as I was looking I came across Fox coilovers for approximately the same price for the front, and would just need to add rear coils ($1100 vs $1400 all in). Would I get a big performance difference with the Fox coilovers over a regular strut set up? I know coilovers come with extra maintenance, and I'm good with it. Anything is better than the 18 year old 205K mile factory shocks and struts on there now

Use is daily driver, mild to moderate off road, and setting up for some camping. As of now, other than tires, completely stock. Tires are 265/70R17 Nitto

Dunno. Higher quality might mean better ride. Also, factory ride is damn capable. And easier to wash the hood and less wear on other steering components.
I had a Daystar lift and ended up removing the front lift, in order to not have a squat when towing. It eventually made me replace all the suspension components which needed replacement anyhow

I’ve been running bilstein 5100 shocks with Toytec coils for a few years now. As much as I want Dobinsons IMS my budget isn’t there. I’m looking at Bilstein 6112’s. They come in regular or HD spring versions and are a 2.5” diameter. You can always swap the coils on 5100’s or 6112’s with Old Man Emu or Dobinsons to suit your needs. Fox even makes a 2.0 adjustable height shock and you just select a spring from Dobinsons or wherever. If you don’t off road much then maintenance on Fox or Icon or whatever wouldn’t be necessary too often. There are so many options it’s hard to say what will end up best for you.

On my `05 I went with Front TRD Pro Fox coilovers, EMU upper control arms and Fox 2.0 Rear shocks. Daystar Front leveling kit. Also went with CK 6x5.5 Centric wheel spacers for a wider stance. Night and day difference in my opine. A respectable lift that's good enough for me.
