Lift question from a new member

Hi guys,

i am a brand new member from Mongolia and want to say hello to all.
I have a question regarding the shock lift kit installation.

Is there any cons of installing a daystar lift kit to my 4runner.
I know alot of people have done it but i don't want as result of this kit some components of the vehicle is over stretched etc.

I am going to install the kit for looks and will not do any serious offroading (roads here itself are offroad worthy )

kit is bought from Amazon and 2.5inch in the front and 1.5inch at the back.
Your kind reply on this subject is much appreciated.

If it was me on your roads I would upgrade just front shocks for better rice quality maybe 5100s or newer 6112s ! spacers don't leave you much travel in shock !

First of all, welcome to T4R.org. You will find this site an extremely valuable resource for all things 4Runner. Now, to your question: The short answer is "NO", the Daystar 2.5/1.5 will NOT "over stretch" anything on your Runner, so no need to worry. You will, however, require an alignment following the installation. I'm not sure how many miles are on your Runner, but if you are at, or surpassed 100k miles, you probably are going to require new sway bar bushings and end links so INSPECT them when you are doing your lift. Also, check out the condition of your upper and lower ball joints. If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me or post them here!

^^ And grease up your boots because I'm sure their probably dry-rotted a bit & with any lift will rupture !

I currently own the Daystar lift kit on my 2014 4runner. There aren't any additional changes you have to do (other than getting it realigned.) The drive is pretty much the same except you may feel the weight shifting on harsh turns.
