Lift Question

Hey everyone! I just got a 2001 4x4 runner. I'm looking for a lift kit an i was wondering what would be the safest, and least expensive one. In that order. I don't do much off roading at all, and all that i do is mostly mud. I just want it to clear bigger tires and look good. Thanks!

There are so many different ways you can go. the daystar spacer lift is fairly common, however the least expensive and safe lift is the OME(old man emu) kits at about mid 700 range for new springs and shocks all the way around and then the sky is the limit from there. Thanks for your help! I think i'm going to get OME 882's for the front then 890's in the rear with pro comp shocks all the way around. How inportant is the diff drop and the extended brake line?

From what I hear, the diff drop is ESSENTIAL!!! If you don't do it, you'll be replacing CV Axles sooner than you can say F%$#k! It's not much more expensive, and will save you alot of headaches! I did the 3" toytec lift with teh diff drop, and don't regret it! I did however, get some Skyjacker shocks for the rear after.

The OME set up sounds real nice, I'd get it, but make sure you get a diff drop. As for the extended brake line.....I didn't do it, and after 3 months of driving it, don't find it was necesary.

Looks like you've got a really sweet foundation to built from! I love the scoop, the grill, and the color! Definately post up the after pics, and make sure you get some Side Profile shots too!!
