Lift questions for 3rd gen 4runr

I am buying the 3 in rough country lift, spacer in front and new shock and spring in back, and I was wondering, could I buy a bilstein 2.5 inch lifted shocks for the front with stock springs and put the rough country spacers on top of that, or will that be too much for her, I have a 2 inch dropped axle btw. And I was also wondering if I Could put a rear foil spacer on the rear rough country coil to lift it even more, will it lift it more in the back? Looking to have around a total 4 inch to five inch lift, buying 33's but if I could lift the truck enough without lifting the body I would get 35's! Thanks In advance

If you choose to get the Bilstein shocks, it's in your best interest not to try to gain more lift out of them. If you're planning on running a 3" spacer up front, thats all you should run.

You can put a spacer on the rear coils, but only if you have shocks long enough to compensate....and why?

If you really want 35s... do it right. Get a 3" coilover suspension lift, 2" body lift, trim your fenders, beat the pinch weld, trim more of the fenders....you're gucci.

Be prepared to get the sawzall, welder, and grinder out for some heavy use if you don't want to lift the body. Check out the 4runners on 35's thread if you have not already

If you're looking for 4-5" of lift, go with either a SAS, long travel or 3" lift along with a body lift. Anything over 3" of lift on the suspension really stresses out a lot of the other components and is definitely not recommended.

My experience with the same Rough Country 3" lift was I got closer to 4" lift on the rear and only about 2.5" on the front.

I have since traded that truck, but have another I will lift after I get the new engine installed. I plan to install just the front 3" spacers and then see what it needs on the rear to level it.

stuck on tire size with 3inch lift kit

hi, im new here and new to the 4runner world. i have a 2001 4runner limited. im stuck on the tire size to get i am planning on doing a 3 inch toyotech lift and getting 16x8 rims i want some mud terrains but what size will not rub and also look good. sorry to bother
ps i was thinking 285/75/16 but im not sure if it will rub
