Lift questions

I have a 2005 4Runner SR5 4WD and was wondering what I needed to get or what I should look into if I'm interested in raising my t4r up about 3 or 4 inches. I am considering new tires to compliment the lift as well. Wheels are not such a big deal.

I have currently have 265/65/17 stock wheels and tires, as well as stock lift at the moment.

Appreciate all the help I can get.

Kinda limited on budget, so cost is definitely a factor. :zoom:

to do 4 in. right its gonna cost, the cheapest way to get close to the height u want is a 3/2 spacer lift, or the spacer & rear coils, about 200 - 300 depending on where u get it. next upgrade step is 400, then 770, then 1200,etc. heres a page to check out the differences & prices. like chaz said, for 200-300 you will get your 3" +/- and anything over that is going to cost you. it becomes a whole different ball game then.
doing a spacer lift such as the cornfed 3/2 or daystar 2.5/1.5 is not a big ordeal as long as you have some basic tools and about 4-6 hours to do it. I have done 3 lifts and I am far from a mechanic but they were all pretty easy to do.

I dont know anything about lifts for the new runners but If you want a cheap and good mud terrain tire, look into the BFGoodrich KM2's. They're quiet on the road and they will not slip off road. great reviews all around. I ordered a set of 35"s for $178 a tire. 3inch lift on your truck could probly fit 32"s maybe 33"s with a little rub but I dont know

I agree with the KM2's...they're not unbearably loud on road and off road?....awesome! 3" of lift will definitely tuck 'em in but not without minor trimming and pounding....A 1" BL will solve that issue.

Not that hard really.

3 inch spring or spacer
1.5 inch body lift
35" tire (2" lift)

On the front I have ome 3" springs, 5100's aswell with the height adjusted to the 3 from the bottom setting, LR UCAs, sway bar brackets, and a diff drop.

On the back I have toytec springs, 5100s, 1.25" cornfed spacer, airlift 1000.

I have the 1.5bl and I measured 7" taller at the fender then stock

Do 2.5 suspension ($150 - 300) with whatever combo of spacers, coils, etc...., then 1.5 body lift ($150). That will allow up to 33" tires with no rubbing and give you a very aggressive stance. Good luck.
