lift questions

ive been searching around all week and really cant find what im wondering..ive always drove a lowrider and im a little lost on what exactly goes into a lift...

i do not plan on going off road any...i got my play mud trucks and this is my everyday driver...with that i dont want a huge crawler...just like some 275s..

well i guess my question is..
1) what kind of lift and what all do i need...i know alot of people on here run the toytec ultimate...any other good lifts? i really dont want a cheap pos lift that will always give me problems...
2) im in north alabama...id prefer not to take it to a toyo dealership to install it...id figure a 4x4/offroad shop has more experience anyone know a good place to take it too??

Your limited to about 3" of lift and your choices are a spacer lift (which does not replace the stock suspension beyond maybe the rear shocks), old man emu coilover lift (replaces stock suspension and gives lift with better ride quality), or adjustable coilovers. None are a POS... but you get a better ride and the convenience of adjustability when you go with an adjustable coilover.

Do a search of the forum or look at the lifted thread to see what people are rockin.

Toytec sells all of the above on their site and theres other vendors besides Toytec.
