lift tire wear

any of yous guys with a lift(spacer lift is what i got) have an issue with the tires wearing out real fast along the outside of the tire, and i know you lift a vehicle and you are gonna get chamber issues but from my best once over i see no way of adjusting the wheel lean, please give me some miracle fix cause i just spent a good lil chunk of change on all terrain tires for my wheels and i need to make them last

Did you get an alignment after the lift? Do you have the differental drop spacers installed? I have a mild lift (OME 2.5 inch or so) and have no problems with uneven tire wear.

what type pof lifts did u guys get? i was looking at some but wasnt sure... dont wnat to spend a bunch of bucks

make sure you keep your tire at the right pressure for what your using it for. under inflated tires will wear the sides out fast! is it your front or rear thats is having this issuse? if its your front check the Toe camber. if its your rear then i give up cuse you cant really do an alignment for it. maybe a panard bracket or a lateral bar?

shootmymime - check toytec lifts if your not into wheeling alot. got mine around $300. do a search and you will find many many option for your needs.

it's the front wheels, and I know know someone in here knows something i need to get, like chamber plates or something, if you all would help instead of just sitting there...

I installed my 3" OME lift on my 2000 4x4 4runner about 3 months ago. The alignment shop did the best they could but couldn't bring the camber/caster back to stock specs... the tech said the specs wasn't off by much so the wear shouldn't be too bad but after those 3 months I'm starting to see signs of slight outer wear on my front tires. The back tires show no signs of premature wear.

rotate your tires before its to late. i dont have any problem with the 3" lift. what type of wheel and tires are you running?

turned out to be the toe, both my tires were pointing in after the lift but the camber was fine , and there are camber, toe, and caster adjustments for the front end on it, pretty nice to know

No kidding, 20 inch all terrains are expensive and I'm broke hopefully it'll make a huge difference


and answering your previous question, the tires and Cooper LTZ's 275/55/20, and the wheels are just a set of Dip wheel that I got SUPER cheap
