lift/tires/wheels help and questions

hello everyone im new to this forum. i own a 2001 sr5 and ive decided that its time for new tires. so my question is what size tires can i fit under there without ne modifications. and im planning to purchase a 3" old man emu suspension lift here soon so ill probably hold off untill then but that leads me to my second question. what size tires would be the max without ne issues with a 3" lift? thank u all

beyond that you can fit maybe a 275 but a 265 will be safe, and whats the point of lifting it if your going to stuff the biggest tire you can fit in there?
you will have zero up travel and defeats the point of lifting really. i'd say you could most likely stuff some 35's in there if not more but then your also talking about regearing.

start reading up before you spend your money.

well thank u for your advice, and 275/65 is about the same as 31x10.5 am i correct? sorry dont really care for the new measurement system, the old one worked just fine. but ya thank u much im not to good with this stuff always bean more in the engine/ audio department

Yeah that's right and a good choice in size if your not lifting it or anything if you go larger your going to have to start pounding and cutting things

Its actually smaller than a 31" tire- 30.1" tall. Id go nothing less than 265/75 personally. Its a 31.6" tire

I'm running Yokohama AT/S 265/75-16. They are just a hair under 32" (they run big, some small). Even with my 3" lift I still get a little rubbing. Nothing a heat gun to the plastic inner fender didn't take care of. Lifted or not, most of my rubbing is at full stuff. At full stuff I'm on my bumpstops (same as if I wasn't lifted).

If you want bigger tires then you will have to do a suspension lift and body lift first. I'm not a big fan of body lifts but it does move the fender openings away from the tires and allows room at full stuff.
