Lift ! Where to start

Here is my 2001 Sport 4WD. It seems to sit really low in the front and especially now since removing the spare tire(original) and the hitch. I don't know whether to: 1. Get 99 springs all the way around with new struts/shocks and then add a small spacer lift. 2. Keep the coils i have and get the Bilstein 5100s up front and replace the rear shocks and add a small spacer lift to the rear.

I am on a tight budget and like anyone else want the best bang for the buck. I don't offroad hard just camp, fish and maybe some light trails but I definitely want some ground clearance. I am running Michelin 265/70/16s.

I have basically the same truck but an 02'.

I have a 3" lift kit, OME coils (883 front 891 rear) with a diff drop.
Running 255/75R-17 Wrangler Silent Armour tires.
I mainly camp/fish/light trails also and this set up seems to be perfect for me and rides just fine on the road.

Speaking from experience, lift it more than you think. Different years sit at different heights, stock. I started with TRD coils and 890 rears. This is a great setup and gives ~2" in front and 3" in back. I ran this for years with your size tire and it looks fine. 99 coils are a weak coil and if you load heavy for camping they will squat under weight.

Stay away from spacer lifts. They are a short term solution and most people replace them with taller coils.

(I'm now sitting at ~3.5" in front on ToyTec coilovers and 4.5" in back on LC 9.25 wrap coils and 265/75-16)
