Lifted 4th Gen Sighting

I was over at the Best Buy at White Marsh, MD today around 6:30 PM. When I came out the door I saw a Galactic Grey (I believe) 06-07 T4R SE sitting right out front that was obviously lifted. I wanted to check it out a little bit, but didn't want to seem like a creep peering over it. Getting to the point, does this belong to anyone on here? Looking to lift mine, liked what I saw, and was just looking for some insight as to what you did with yours.

I'm sorry I dont have an answer to your question but I read in your signature about a PnP HID conversion and was wondering what PnP meant and what you thought of the kit. HID is my next project and am interested in what people think of their kits.

PnP is my shorthand for "Plug and Play". Basically it's a rebased HID bulb kit that really just takes minutes to install. The only reason that I did the kit was that the 4Runner has projectors on them and upon closer inspection I noticed that the H11 bulbs are more or less H7's which share similar dimensions to a true HID projector. Overall the kit works great for what it is. I got the 4300K bulbs which is the true white color that is supposed to have the highest amount of lumen output. It's an Apexcone kit that I picked up for about $150. I will be doing a retrofit when I have time down the road. I know I will gain a lot more with a true HID projector setup.

Are the bulbs actually HID bulbs or Halogen?

They are indeed HID bulbs. Instead of the tradition base style that all D2S/R bulbs have this one is refitted with a plastic base to match that of the H11. Only reason I say that I will upgrade in the future is because the HID bulbs sitting in the halogen projectors aren't being allowed to output their true potential. My retrofit will most likely be with the use of a Bi-Xenon projector.

I'm following you on the projectors, but don't understand how it can be a true HID bulb without having ballasts to power the bulb? Any idea how that works?
