Hi Guys..

I just bought some extend a flare (rears) from a guy with another 1990 4runner for my truck..(need fronts now) He put Old Man Emu springs on his in the back (back only) with 32x11.5 inch tires Bfg Mud's and it looked great.. even though he has no lift in it, it looked lifted. He also added Rancho 5000 shocks.

It looked so good I would like to do the same to mine..

(he said he was told it only raised the back and inch over stock, not an inch over sag)

From what i understand with OME springs in the rear, you crank your torsion bars to get the lift up front??? can you get 2-3'' by cranking the t-bars? Thanks

I cranked my T-Bars to 2". Looked cool, was cheap to do. Rode like it had no suspension at all. Now their down to below stock height. Rides smooth as glass, and flexes more. I damaged the passenger side T-Bar by cranking it, now it wont tense up, only loosen. It's a dumb way to lift the front end.

What are other options to lift the front end cheaply, or is it just better to go with a full system like a procomp, or a superlift? what lift do you have on 2nd gen?^^^^^^

check out http://www.trdparts4u.com/ . they have complete lifts or you can buy the parts seperatly. from what other people have told me, the ball joint spacers are a good way to go for lift up front. i have been wanting to get one of their kits for some time, just never have the funds...

Yeah, cranking the t-bars that much isn't good. You could probably get away with 1" or less will little or no ill effects.

BJ spacers is a better way to go.
