I have a 95 4Runner (4 cylinder) with 217,000 Km. It has always had a ticking sound when idiling. I was told that it sounding like it had been run outta oil. I bought it used and I don't know if this may have been the case. I never thought anything of it, but know I always here it since it was pointed out to me.
It's a great vehicle and spent most of it's life in Whitehorse Yukon, Canada. I now live in Toronto, so she might just be missing the mountains like her owner.
Is this a common thing for this year? Any other tips or info on this year would be greatly appreciated. I'm not a big do it yourselfer so any information to have when dealing with mechanics is nice.
