I have a 2006 SR5 V6 4wd. I am in need of new tires, so I am hoping to throw a lift on it while I am at it. I was leaning towards the OME 3" kit after doing lots and lots of reading on this forum. I was originally planning on doing Bilstein 5100's with the FJ swap and a spacer, but I think in the long run I will be better off with the OME coils. How is the ride? I don't want to feel every bump in the road. I had a lifted Ram (5" Skyjacker) before and it rode like garbage. I have no extra weight in the front or rear of the car (i.e. stock bumpers) and don't plan on ever adding them. Really just looking to fit a bigger size tire and gain a little ground clearance. I am thinking OME 884 in the front. Would the Super Flex springs for the rear be best? Would this allow me to fit a 275/70/17 BFG All Terrain without rubbing? I really like the look the OME gives these trucks, but its an awful lot of money to spend. Would I be better off just buying some 5100's and tossing a Daystar spacer in there? This is what I have been looking at: 3" FJ Lift w/ front & rear coils - Toytec Lifts: Toyota Lift Kits: FJ Cruiser Lift Kits, Tacoma Lift Kits, Tundra Lift Kits, 4 Runner Lift Kits, Sequoia Lift Kits, Toyota Truck Lift Kits
I guess I can just buy a set of adjustable 5100's to go with these? Where is the cheapest place to find them? I noticed they sold them on that website, but was hoping to find them cheaper. Anyone know if they would be willing to put the springs I request onto the coils so I can just install them as opposed to having to put the coils on the shocks myself? Please help!! TIA
