Light bar - anyone seen this before?

Hey all, I emailed the guy, he says it will not fit the Runner. Signifcantly different bumper and front of the frame, apparently. Sorry to ruin the fun.

He didn't act like it. Didn't say there were no plans, but I would think if there were plans he would have mentioned it. You never know though, maybe if we can generate enough interest he would consider it. Seems like it really wouldn't be too tough to modify the design.

Wow, good catch, I hadn't even seen that one. Course there's no pic of it, unfortunately, but my guess is it looks really similar to the FJ and Taco bars. What's odd is I don't see it listed on KC's site. I wonder if they're just assuming the Taco's will fit. I'll order one if it will fit. Might want to check into their return policy first though.

Hmmmm...it does have the same SKU as the Tacoma's. Looks like they would accept a return if they've listed the part in error, so once I get my tax return I'll give it a shot, and if it fits, :biggrin2:

Oh I definitely will once I get some spare cash (tax return or sell some of the parts from my last car), I've got a pair of PIAA 540 fogs that need to go on this truck :bigok:

Update on this, I was browsing around Autozone's catalog for a set of nerf bars and came across the KC Hilites bar, and '05+ Tacoma/4Runner was listed in their applications. I'm offloading some of the parts from my previous car tomorrow, so I'm gonna go ahead and order one today. Hopefully it'll get to my house by this weekend and I can put it on. Might not get the PIAAs mounted until I can make some new brackets though, I want the lights mounted hanging down.

So bad news, all. I got the lightbar on Friday and test fitted it, and it's no good. Looks like our bumper projects about 2" farther forward than the Taco's. I'll be calling for an RMA today.
On the bright side, in the time I had planned to install the bar, I went ahead and made a pair of the floating mounting brackets, so these lights will still go on here sometime this week.

Haven't actually installed them yet, and I'm debating on whether or not I will. I'd like to get a Westin Safari bar, now that I know the KC is out of the question. Getting the bolts to come back through the bumper to do the floating brackets is harder than it seems, and the Westin will still allow me to add driving lights to the mix in the future, provided they aren't too big.
