Light bar

One of my friends is selling a 40" light bar and I think I might pick it up for my 2000 sr5. Would it fit okay? Look okay? Hard to mount? Hard to wire? Any advice? Haha I know nothing and I'm scared to buy it and have troubles with mounting it to the sides. Any ideas or past experience would help! Thanks guys

Slag Fab and another forum member makes mounts for 40-42" bars. Bars are ~$100 on Amazon. Mounts are $120-$140. Buy a 40a relay and some wiring if you want to wire to your high beams or throw a switch in the mix if you want to control manually. Obviously, all LED light bars are 100% illegal on the road, off road use only.

I'd rather not pay 140 for mounts[emoji58] I'll fab something or have a buddy weld some brackets. But 40" would look okay on a 4Runner? Not too small?

Grab a tape measure, most guys run 40-42" on their roof. IMO 50"s don't really "work" on our truck.

If you make some mounts for less than $140, I'm betting you'd have a fair amount of buyers.

You're preaching to the choir. I think it's one of those things that they are betting most folks are too lazy to make em themselves so they pay through the nose for $10 of materials.
