Light mounting option for Thule bar...

Hey guys! So, I do some off-roading and fishing off the beach in the outer banks (that might not happen any time soon now...thanks Irene) and need a mild light source - esp. when fishing from the beach at night. Anyway, I ordered a light bar from Defiant...but in the mean time, was able to mount these lights using the fairing clips on the thule bar...fit like a charm using the bolt/fastener from the actual fairing clip...and just threaded that through the light mount. These are just some cheap Baja lights ($30) to see if it worked (will wire tonight). I will get some PIA's once the Defiant bar gets here...and who knows...maybe I will keep the Baja's up top! ***Now, they shake a tad when off-road...so if I keep them up top I will just drill holes in the bar itself for a more secure fit. Or, you can order extra fairing clips to use as light attachments and could probably figure a way to make them more secure - w/out drilling holes. But either way...shows you all what it looks like if you get/have a thule rack and want to add lights.

Great looking truck buddy. I personally liov the newer LED lights that are out. Especially those from Rigid industries.

Thanks! Yeah the Rigid LEDs look sweet...might go with those down the road...gotta see how the light bar looks from Defiant when I get it to see if LEDs on the rack would be too overkill or not.
