Light Opinions Wanted and Needed

Ok so here's the deal. As soon as the pay check rolls in next week, I'm gonna buy one of Defiants new lights bars and some lights. I would like to do a set of Lightforce 240 blitz with a set of Hella Black Magics on the outside. Some people have said they think it would look good, and then some were like two different lense colors might not look good. I then thought I'd ask everyone on here what they think. My TE is silver.

I don't know if that combo would look good. The 240's are pretty large and the Hella's are thin.

How about a pair of 170's and a pair of 240's? Are you going with the regular lights or HIDs?

As for the 170s, I will look further into those. I wasn't too fond of them at first but seeing the set up with the 240 and 170 together they are starting to grow on me. Does anyone know if there will be any clearance issues between the grill and the 240s on the new Defiant bar? As for the bulb choice, I'm not gonna get HID as i would like, The regular lights are already an ass load of money, as is everything I would love to have for me TE

I don't think you'll have an issue with the rear of the LF's and the grille. Just FYI, LF 140/170/240 all use the same base just different reflectors.

As for HID, you can accomplish the same thing for under $50:

H3 DDM Tuning HID kit

Clemsonfan, keep that updated as to when yall are meeting up, If its to where I can get up there I will. I should be up there in clemson soon for the next DH race yall got goin on up there.

Darkie, Thanks for the info, That HID kit seems a little more reasonable then 600 for a pair of lights.

Swinging by the bank in a bit, and most likely coming straight home to get the defiant ordered

There should not be any clearance issues with the light bar, but you can always send the specs of your lights to paul just so he can make sure.

Regarding lights, I don't know if you are committed to LightForce but HIDx has some good lights for a very reasonable price on Genright.com.

Yeah, I called and spoke with Paul today about the lights I want to run. Looks like I'm going to be sending some specs of the lights I'm going to be running to space the tabs accordingly. That email and order sheet should be sent out tonight. He said that it should be built and powedercoated and in the mail to me by prolly two weeks or less (just in time for the lights to arrive) Clear bra to hopefully be installed prior to mount and pictures

Hella Black Magic Rallye 1000s arrived at my door step today I'm pretty pumped to get them wired up. Still waiting on my light bar from Defiant, and "clear bra" paint protection for the front end wednesday! Pictures later
