light replacement for heater controls on a 2000 4runner ltd.

I would like to know how to replace the bulb on the climate controls. When I use the head lights 1/2 of the display goes dark. I have a haynes manual but it is not too clear on this subject and i am concerened that I may break the bezel if I try to pry it out. I welcome any help that you may be able to give me.
