Light source for REAR? Any ideas?

My T4R get's pretty good use towing & launching and I realized I'd like a light source to shine directly behind my rig to assist in backing down launches and hooking up trailers in the dark. I've seen some here mount LED's to the bottom of the rear bumper, but I'd prefer not to mount in this manner as I occasionally have to back into the water to the bumper and this would submerge the lights.

Outside of a roof rack, which isn't in the cards now, are there any other options I'm missing??

Any light that's IP67 is supposed to be good for immersion up to one meter. Get a quality light so you can trust the IP rating and don't worry about the water.

That looks good, but with an 07 I don't know if this retrofit would work given I have a different bumper...

If you have a spoiler, you could mount a small (6 or 10") rigid series light bar on the underside of it (route the wires along the backside of the spoiler to the inside of the hatch and tie it in directly to the backup lights in the tailights)...

Note: to do this right, you'd probably need to remove the spoiler (easy enough with 4 screws) and drill some access holes to mount the rigid light bar for tool access then plug these holes with rubber plugs from home depot or lowes and silicone... no one would see these access newly drilled holes as they'd face the rear window and it's look pretty slick in my opinion and be mounted high up out of the way....

just an idea.

before doing this I would get the brightest flashlight you own and tape it in this location to make sure you don't washout the backup camera from excess light

This might be the winner - can't beat 30$ and love the portability aspect. In all reality I need light back there all of 10-15 times a year and this should fit the bill perfect. Thank you sir!
