Lighted Seat Heater Switches

Hey guys, I've looked through the forum and searched around and can't find anything useful.

Basically I have aftermarket Liquicell leather and heated seats in my '07 Sport. I'd like to replace the heater switches (3-way rockers) with switches that illuminate.

Anyone have an idea of illuminated switches that fit in the OEM slots next to the arm rest? i.e. behind the gear selector

The ONLY aftermarket illuminated switches that I have ever seen that are a direct fit in those slots on the center console are by Air On Board

However, those are push only switches and I'm not sure if they have any that are specifically for the seat heaters.

Thanks preacher. I looked through their links and they aren't showing any switches at all. Their banner also has a "the store is closed for 2 weeks" on it so I'm assuming the site will probably start returning inventory when they reopen.

Mine from the factory light up and they are a dial switch. The picture is close to show that they are lit up

Thanks mac. Since mine is aftermarket I also need to find switches that have 3 terminals. Not sure if the factory switches like you show are 3 terminals or not. I found some pretty nice ones but they're 7 terminals (lol?). Not sure why it needs 7, but that's what the site says.

I wonder if I need to use all 7 terminals? My seats have a "low" and "high" setting. Up is high, middle is off, and down is low.

Just got off the phone with a guy over at OTRATTW (link above). Super cool dude with a ton of information. Actually said he would make the LED's in the switch whatever color I wanted for a $2 per switch charge (he's gotta pull the switches apart and replace the LEDs). Well worth it.

Also filled me in on what all 7 terminals do and told me how to jumper certain terminals to get the effect I wanted (illuminated switches with backlighting).

According to the site -

Hole cutout required is: 21.08 x 36.83​

Doing some research our switch cutouts are:

Inner diameter: 17.0mm x 34.5mm
Outer Diameter: 22.5mm x 40.0mm​

Might take a little trimming.

I'm having the same issue. One of the heated seat switches in my 07 sport has stopped working. Looks like I'll need to find an identical pair to swap out. I can't find one to match anywhere.

I don't believe sports had heated seats from factory. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong. With that said, you will likely just need to replace both so they match. With age it gets less and less likely to find the same switch. Of course unless they're OEM, then it should be pretty easy.

When you hook up the seat heaters do you mind showing pictures of the wires you tap into? I searched a few months ago and couldn't find a good thread on it. I miss the seat heaters in my old minivan...

Mine are already hooked up Nervo. I'm just replacing the rocker switches to ones that are illuminated. But, when I go through it if I can find the power source pretty easily I'll be sure to get some pics for you.

Can you pull one of your switches and take a picture of it? I'm sure you'll be able to find it out there. The site I linked earlier (OTRATTW) has a pretty extensive list of 12v switches.

I'm considering getting this kit off eBay. The switches are 39.9 x22.9 and illuminate. The seller says it's the manufacturer and they sell from CA. Perhaps you could PM them and see if the can sell only the switches.

No. I'm considering the whole kit. I don't have heaters yet. I just suggested that OP try to PM them if he just wants the switches. The measurements on these look like they will fit the factory spot on the 4Runner.

Finally took some photos of the switches for the seat heaters. Anyone have any spares or know where I might get some? Only need the Left (drivers) one, but I'll replace them both to keep them matched.

You might try here and yotatech for someone who is stripping a 4th gen or put a wanted ad in the classifieds. Those switches don't seem to light up. I might look under the console to see if the '08 is prewired for seat heaters. It's hard to consider it important while it's still summer.
