Lightforce In-Grill Mount???

Has anyone tried to mount a set of Lightforce 140's or 170's in the lower grill area of a 2010 T4R. I was wondering if these lights would fit in this spot on a SR5. I know a bunch of people on here have mounted the PIAA 510's in this area, however these lights are somewhat smaller than the Lightforce units. Any thoughts would be appreciated before I just buy a set to test.

Just a guess but they probably won't fit if they are any bigger than the PIAA 510's. They barely fit in mine inside the lower grill opening.

Pure physics will tell you they won't fit without trimming part of the plastic bumper. The 510's are 4 inch lights and barely fit. I doubt a 5.6 Lightforce 140 or a 6.8 inch 170 light will fit.Have a bracket or bar made to put them above where the opening is bigger,next to the Toyota emblem. I have some 8 inch Soltek Driving lights I'm going to mount there after I convert them to HID.

Here is a close-up pic of a PIAA 510 ,that is a 4 inch light.With the grill on it ,there is even less room.

Thanks guys. I figured somebody either tried it or had some exact measurements for that grill region. I didn't realize how tight of a fit the PIAA 510's were in the lower grill region. I just hadn't gotten around to measuring the grill region and comparing it to the light specs. Seems like the PIAA 510's are one of the only round lights out that will fit in that spot. The lightforce 170's might be a bit too big Might have to go with something thinner. Here they are on my tacoma.

any problem with heat affecting the life of the lights, when they are flush mounted ?
