Lights and Bulbs

Does anyone have list of what type of bulbs are used for different lights? My Toyota manual doesn't really helping by giving this information, it's also doesn't explain how to exchange them, except headlights. For example, how to open map light or door light, etc. I was looking for following lights:
- DRL
- wedge bulb in headlights
- rear stop/parking lights
- rear turn signal
- running boards lights
- door lights
- map lights
- dome lights (looks like T-6, but I'm not sure)
- trunk light
- licence plate lights

There should be a page in your manual that lists each and every light bulb designator...i know i have pulled it out of my book when i went to go shopping for new lows/fogs and other bulbs.

That's the point, that my manual just gives me headlights and taillights. Looks like Toyota think, that present customers are able to change only this bulbs, for everything else we have to drive to the dealer. When I phoned a couple of the dealers around asking how to open and change the bulb in the map light, I was told that I should make an appointment with service department and come in a week time for bulb exchange. The most interesting thing that the guy on the phone said to me that this doesn't cover by warranty and I have to pay for bulb, which they have to order and labor at $65/hour.

- Rear stop / Parking lights - 7443
- Rear turn signals - unknown
- Back up lights - [COLOR=royal blue]921[/COLOR]
- Rear spoiler stop light - 921
- Licence plate lights - [COLOR=royal blue]168[/COLOR]
- Running boards lights - [COLOR=royal blue]194 or 3021[/COLOR]

I replaced most interior lights with LED. Man, those are awesome. Doors and dome are the easiest, you only need flathead screw driver to open them. I have not done map lights yet, but those should be easy as well.

I'm going to order some LED bulbs and replace some lights. As soon as I'll be replacing the bulbs I'll post images and instructions for it.

Be aware that LED dome lights are not as bright as some halogens out there or even stock. Make sure there are at least 3 leds inside each. Good luck.

Anyone know off hand what bulb is used for the rear turn signals?
I don't have my manual with me otherwise I would look it up. Going to the parts store after work and don't really want to make a stop at home on the way.

3 leds? I got 6 in mine! I has to bend the heck out of the tap to get the 6 leds bulbs in!

its a single fitment wedge bulb type. its like a 194 wedge but a lot bigger with plastic bottom connector like the front turn.

After some trial and error, I found out that the rear turn signal is a 7440 single-filament bulb. It should have a glass wedge base, but a plastic wedge base will work as well (with some gentle coaxing)

Great, thanks for supporting my laziness.

I was just going to try a 4157 like the fronts, but then I would probably be making a return trip to the parts store to take them back.

Make sure blinker LED bulbs have correct resistors built in, otherwise they'll blink fast like crazy...
