the easiest way is probably to just run them along the rack and then into the car through the tailgate. it leaves the wires exposed a little bit, but its the easiest way to do it without drilling through anything. once inside you can run the wires up to the dash to connect it to the relays, power and switch.

I have an 03' and I ran the wires down the front edge of the windshield (driver's side) and then under the hood. The wires are inside a plastic cover which tucked away nicely between the windshield and the outside edge, you wouldn't know it was there unless I showed you.
Once under the hood, all your connections can be made and it is easy to run the wiring back through the fire wall to a switch on the dash. There is actually an extra place on the rubber seal where the factory wiring harness goes through the fire wall to add additional wiring.
