Lights on the 4WD dial?

Hello. I just noticed that on my 4WD dial, there are no lights. Anyone know how to replace?

The dial comes out with the dash assemby IIRC. A wedge bulb is on the back of the dial.

So are you saying that the entire dash has to be removed to replace the bulb? Or am I misunderstanding you?

Can I get to it by taking out the center console where the climate control knobs are? Or is there more to it?
