lights out---help!

The back lighting for my entire speedometer cluster and radio are out. The warning buzzer for leaving your headlights on does not work. Its not my dimmer nob. My headlights do work. With my headlights on my rear "running lights" do not work. (The back of my truck is dark at night) My brake lights and turn signals do work. Anyone have an idea what could be going on here? Thanks!

Look under the hood. Behind the battery is a fuze box. The majority of fuzes and relays are in there. Check EVERY one.

There is also a fuze panel by your left knee on the passenger side. Check all those fuzes too.

The relays are a little trickier to tell, but basically if you hold your finger on one, and have the lights turned on, you should hear/ feel a click. If you don't, take that relay out and swap it for one that you know works. The majority of the relays are the same, just make sure you pull one that looks similar to the other. Not a huge square when it's a rectangle, if you know what I mean.

It was the "tail" fuse in the fuse box in the engine bay. When that fuse blows it turns off your instrument lights to alert you of a problem. I used a spare fuse from the underside of the fuse box lid to fix it.

Now another question, if a 7.5A fuse blows can I use a 10A fuse in its place? There are a few 7.5 A fuses inthe box in the engine bay.

You can, but you don't want to. I'm no electric guru, but if they designed that particular system to blow at 7.5 amps, I'm sure it was for a reason.
