having problems with my 90 t4r sr5 v6 auto. was doing about 85mph on the highway and she quit. inspection reveals blown efi fuse. replaced. popped. stuck piece of wire in there and drove half a mile to get off the highway, towed her home. power to ground short maybe? wires in fusebox under hood smokes if left on with wire in place of efi fuse. anyone ever have this problem? too many components on efi circuit to trace all the wires, but she's too damn much fun to part out or sell.

Sounds like something is arking to me.

good place to start is disconnect the neg battery terminal, pull the plugs off the back of the computer and test each contact for continuity to ground one by one. That will at least narrow it down. there are factory service manuals online that have wiring diagrams you will need.
