I'm the proud and happy owner of a 2008 Limited - Nautical Blue with 35K miles on it. I picked it up just under two weeks ago. Only mods so far have been Weathertech liners (on order) and a car seat!
I've been working through the manual pretty carefully, and reading this site when I can. I got around to setting up the bluetooth connection a few days back - and the connection itself went flawlessly. I was pretty happy about this, since the iPhone 4S wasn't out when this head unit was designed/manufactured.
Unfortunately, due to the age difference between the devices, my contacts / phone numbers did not load into the head unit, so I was thinking I'd enter a handful of them manually. I was very pleased, however, to find that you don't have to do it at all - if you have SIRI. One press of the home button, and "she" will come up through the audio system of the Runner, and you can voice dial (or access any other SIRI functions) via bluetooth. This turns out to provide better functionality than the standard head unit, while still keeping you focused on driving vs. tapping. (The latter really should be ticket-worthy nationwide, IMHO).
Anyhow, this is probably not a surprise to most of you, but it was a pleasant one for me - and perhaps if anyone is considering a new phone, you may want to consider the 4S because of this feature!
