Limited Hood Swap Finally

I am one of the few that like the look of the limited bumpers better than the rest (yes, even the trd pro) but I also REALLY like the scooped hood. After searching for years I finally got a white OEM hood and it wasn't cheap

Of course it wasn't shipped flat and of course the corners got bent, every hood I've had shipped (3) was the same story but this is by far the best crate I've ever seen for just a hood

I already knew that Blizzard White Pearl wouldn't be an exact match with Refrigerator White but I had hoped it would be close enough to just send it, it is not

There is some damage to the hood on the driver's side, it looks like a front impact pushed the corner in and caused the middle to arc above the fender line. I'm hoping it can just be bent back and fill any creases when it goes in for paint

In full sun it's very obvious the color is off but I am really happy with how it changed the look of the front end, Toyota made a mistake putting the flat hood on the limited

All of this for a pointless cosmetic scoop that's only purpose is to give me harder boners, at least it's working

I like the look - definitely sportier and harder boners are never a bad thing. I commend you for looking for years to find that hood - that is dedication for a hood scoop that is purely cosmetic

I was searching for a deal more than a hood. After seeing it will need some repair and needs to be painted anyway, I regret not just buying new from the start

Looks good. I did this a while back. It was the first thing I did for my transformation. Mine arrived unpainted from Toyota. But had my local shop paint it. Why refrigerator white ?

I thought it was funny, all the jabs about the limited being a soccer mom suv have turned me into a battle hardened flame warrior

I was going to see if the flat hood insert would work, is there a special cutout for the scoop or something?

Are you taking about the scoop grille thing? Because I have that. I thought we were talking about the liner on the underside. It looks like it can just swap over to me

Here's a close up of the misalignment on the front corner, there isn't any paint damage and when I looked on the underside the support had a ding in it right in front of the hood strut mounting ball

The highest point in the arc is where the ding is on the underside so now I'm thinking something was in the engine bay and the hood was slammed closed on it

After some massaging it by hand I got it to straighten out, it's barely noticeable now so I think I'm gonna call that fixed
