Limited Running Board Install help

Help:

I just installed the Limited lighted running boards which I picked up from MShrake. The boards look great but when I started installing the lights I ran into a problem:

I got them to work when the front door is opened but they don't come on when the rear doors are opened. I guess first can someone verify if they should come on with the rear door. I assume they do.

Also do they come on any other time or just with the door switch.

Is there a way I can tap into the system for both door switches. If so can someone verify where that connection point may be.

Maybe if someone has these boards they could trace the wire for me. I brought the wires through the floor right under the rear corner of the seat.

Thanks for any help...

I would love to help, but I do not remember if the back doors caused them to light up or not.

Was the wiring pretty easy?

Yeh, wiring was easy but figuring out where to tap into the system for the switched voltage is a little tricky for an amateur like me.

I should have spent alittle more time at your house looking at the wiring on your truck.

Buy the way it was nice meeting you yesterday and I love your dogs. I want a big dog so bad...

It was great to meet you as well.

I have been a member of the BMW M5 message board for years, and never met anyone on the board. I have been on this board for a little over a month and have already met someone.

Sounds like the 4Runner community is a little more friendly...

I just checked mine. The running board lights come on when I open the back door.

(BTW, while your fixing your problem, let me know if you get any ideas about where I could put a switch to disable the running board lights.)
