Limited stereo fit an sr5?

My friend has a 2000 sr5 and his radio died, would my stereo from my 99 limited fit his dash? Thanks!

Yes and no. Did he have a double or single Din? Do you have a double or single din? You might need a pocket or take a pocket out.

If its stock replacing stock, then yes.

I say they both fits. Same size. Only difference is the limited stereo has an amp right behind the stereo. You can also use Subaru stereos. I have a subaru 6 disk changer attached to my toyota (different wiring plug but same number of wires). All the stereos in toyota's and subarus are made by the same fujitsuTen.

All toyota (lexus) stereos have 10 + 6 wire harness. The SR5 stereo has 10 + 6 pins at the end of the stereo, so it plugs right to the main wiring. If you are using the limited stereo, the main stock wiring 10+6 wire connector will go into the amp and wire plug from the amp is going to the limited stereo. It is that easy!

Not mine.... '99 SR5. But the stock deck (cassette only--no CD) was gone the afternoon I brought the truck home from the dealer. They offered an upgrade; I said "No, thanks" and put in an Alpine.

There were four systems in the '99 Owner's Manual. Pretty sure two of them had the amp and two did not. The 'premium' systems had the amp.

Stock systems pretty much suck and now they are old.
