Limited tires

Stock Limited Wheels are sized 20X7. Not 7.5. Do a search as this has been discussed in a few diff threads. It is unfortunate as there are few choices (at least currently) for this setup. Some on here are running 7.5 width tires. I have been hesitant and am probably going to go the 17 in route either via SR5/FJ Cruiser takeoffs or aftermarket. Many more tire choices available.

There's a lot of debate about what size. I'm running 275/55 Bridgestone Dueller Revo's with no problems. No rubbing, speedo is fine, no issues at all. I'm very pleased.

Thanks guys, heygenius your tires look great, and I do see that a lot of guys on the forum have used the same size as well. Have you taken any trips on the highway or at high speeds yet with the new tires ? If so any issues ? Do the new tires have a beter ride then stocks on impacts like pot holes with the higher side walls I am guessing bumps and pavement seems are probably a little less harsh.

I recently drove to the Adirondacks and back from Va - about 1100 miles round trip. They were smooth and quiet on the hwy, although not quite as smooth as the stock tires, but pretty close. I didn't notice any difference in gas mileage either. I had these on a gen4 and was very pleased with the performance. Seems to be a pretty good balance between nice quiet ride, and offroad traction (offroad in my world which is basically some snow in the mtns and forest service roads - nothing hardcore at all).

You'd be squeezing the tire down to a narrower section width than their designed to work with.
You could mount them, but you'd run in to shops not wanting to take the liability for this mounting. You also have a tire that is ready to debead it self as soon as the tire carcass has enough flex to allow it , for instance as the tire looses pressure it may try and leave the wheel.
. When you squeeze down on a wheel you also increase the wandering nature or tram lining of a tire -= and possibly even addional vibration, fro the tire's tread not making even contact with the pavement.
I'd stick with the 245 stock width, or pick a wider wheel to get into 275's. I'd also be concerned about 7" wide wheels being load rated for the truck, thats normally a passenger car width.

the limited rims are only 7 inchs wide and last i checked only 2 tires in 275 you could put on safely. try this thread.
