Limiting Straps

Anybody running limiting straps in the rear of there truck? While doing my 4-5" RC lift discovered that the rear passenger bump stop mount is completely rotted out. Want to get a way to limit my suspension and have heard some things about straps. So anyone running them which a similar lift and what length? If not I will be figuring this out soon before I take it off pavement. Would hate to drop a coil.

Are you running 3 link or 4 link? Front or back?

4 Link and it is the rear. Not too worried about having issued it the front. From what I can tell most 3rd gen guys run 18's with a 3" lift. So thinking maybe a 20" and weld on frame mount with the lower mounted to the lower shock mount. Also I am only running only one sway bar now which is the rear and plan to do QD's for that as well.

What's your travel extended up and down from rest?
If your not have bumps you should use them most guys run straps and bumps especially if your worries about tires or body damage.

My bad 1991 3.0 4x4, I gotta do some measuring this coming weekend. I wish I could have both but the one of the bump stops in the rear is far past repair. I am not worried about body damage at all. Just trying to keep the truck from dropping springs or snapping shocks.

Weld in new bump stops man if you have a 4 link set up you should have no issue for you. Run both straps and bumps and make sure you measure 6 times at least.
