Line-x on grey cladding

Just talked to the people at line-x today and I'm thinking about getting all my grey cladding and bumpers covered with black premium uv resistant line-x. Has anyone seen it done before? What are everyone's thoughts? I'd assume It will look great and hold up a hell of a lot better than plasti-dip. Been looking for pictures but no luck.. If anyone has any please post. :whoo:

I got quoted a little over $600 and the guy said he'll touch it up for free if I ever need it. He did it on a 5th gen and it looks bad ass. I was worried about it getting it stained and dirty after taking it off-road he said it will be fine cleaning with some simple green and a brush if it gets that bad and be good as new. :hat:

I had this exact same idea as the picture of the 5th.. Wow. Didn't know it was already don't before but I think I would like to try it as well. Mainly for the reason being that I have numerous "brush" scratch marks all along that lower panel area that line-x would conceal it perfectly as well as armor it up. Plus I think it fits the category for aggressiveness. Hmmm [emoji848]

Exactly! Line-x will be a little more than a DIY liner but well worth it if it lasts, doesn't fade, and has a warranty. And they can adjust the texture to your liking.

I saw a 2003 with linex in black. It did not look that great imo. I used magic eraser to clean mine up a year ago and it still looks good as new.

I had linex On my expedition offroad tundra bumper, and it was awesome. Held up well. Not sure how wrll It will stick to plastic though.
 
I have seen it on an '03 where just the bumpers, rockers and fender flares were done and I thought it was ugly. Doing it like the 5th gen where it is brought up onto the doors a bit looks really good and makes a big difference. I have an '04 and wouldn't mind getting it done like the 5th gen.
 
Do it yourself and save $500. They have kits with rollers. Take your time and you should be fine. It's really the same as painting when it comes to the application. Line-x is just more clumpy.

The 5th generation has bumpers done also.. And the 04 and 03 cladding is pretty much the exact same style minus color and material which wouldn't matter when you're spraying it with line-x

As much as I'd like to think I'd come close to doing the same quality job as line-x by doing it myself I know it wouldn't happen. Also line-x quality is superior to most DIY liners I've read. They can make the texture not as "clumpy" while doing it on exterior parts they said. If everyone wants to check it out on Instagram check out @linexsandiego

Will definitely post if I get it done.. It wouldn't be for about another month or so.. Have to get a couple other things I purchased installed first.

The burtman flares are always an option.. I'm pretty sure [MENTION=110775]Chad30[/MENTION] has those on the rear of his 4Runner.. Looks great.. You might as well go with some fiberglass for the front like he did when you start spending that much in my opinion. But to each there own. That's definitely a whole nother ballgame though.. :shocked:

I dont keep it clean it just looks that way, but when i do its the spray off / soapy brush at the car wash. So easy
