Line-x on grey cladding

Ive been waiting to see some one with black cladding. Now i will be doing mine. Once it warms up some.

I used mothers back to black heavy duty and it brought them back.. But line-x is bad ass.. And I think it will go with my black paint better..

Mine are DIYed. Still looking good but needs some touch up on some of the top tape lines 4+ yrs later. Bumpers, clading, tail gate, and wheels.

I've got a 07 so its not that rough grey cladding thats on the 03/05 t4rs so
your rig might look a little more grittier. Its worth a shot if your tired of the faded grey clad.

Just thinking, on the 03-04s with the grey plastic moldings, has anybody done just a black satin plastic paint? I don't think there is any coating on it, and that would cure the DIY clumpy issues. It already has a fair bit of texture.... Tremclad satin black would make for an easy repaint after a bush run.

The 5th generation has bumpers done also.. And the 04 and 03 cladding is pretty much the exact same style minus color and material which wouldn't matter when you're spraying it with line-x

Yes, I know all that. The difference for me is thst it looks much better when it is brought up on the doors further and not just the rockers. I have used several brands of diy bedliner material and every brand has dulled in short order and would never use it in an applicayion like this. The professional Rhino Liner or Line X is the way to go.

Plasti dip works great, just warm it up in hot water and use several light coats and its on there for months or even years without a problem, and unlike paint its super easy to fix. I sprayed mine over my caddling that had wipe new on it, and it was just fine

As much as I'd like to think I'd come close to doing the same quality job as line-x by doing it myself I know it wouldn't happen. Also line-x quality is superior to most DIY liners I've read. They can make the texture not as "clumpy" while doing it on exterior parts they said. If everyone wants to check it out on Instagram check out @linexsandiego

Rustoleum has a bedliner that I have used with good results that is more on the smooth end of the spectrum. Just a thought. DIY isn't for everyone, I just like to learn and create...and save money.

It was $835 including tax at from the line x store. The guys also did it with the premium spray line x and a UV coating to prevent any fading. They never told me a warranty but he said if I ever have a problem with it to just take it back and he'd touch it up. He said With the new UV coating I shouldn't have to worry about it fading
