I have read the top4runners.com's history pages on a 2000 4wd Limited 4-Runner...
can anyone tell me how to get a lineset tkt on my vin # or model so that i can see the specs my Runner holds??
i am particularly interested in whether or not i have this...
"Off-road enthusiasts will find improved low-traction performance available through a locking rear differential, optional on all Limited models. Sporting a 4.3:1 differential gear ratio, this feature locks the rear wheels together while in low-4WD, forcing both wheels to turn together."

i am running with a rebuilt 4-Runner.
Friends buy salvaged Toyota Suv's & Pick-ups and rebuild them, they are then sold with a rebuilt title... so i have no manual (i know i can buy one).
i thank you for your reply but will encourage a more in depth answer...
i have a button on the side of the transfer case shifter knob that says 4wd - i still have the transfer case shift knob in the H2-H4 position and when pressed it lights up the four tires on the dash panel, is it then in 4wd???
i also have transfer shift options of H4L, L4L and of course Neutral.
i know the in and outs of 4wd, just nothing this "fancy"
i am a graduate from an International Harvester Scout II 1975 to this 2000 Toyota 4-Runner and just wanna compare the power.
thnks in advance for assistance and understanding.
