Liquid Glass anyone?

Anyone used Liquid Glass before? I used it years ago on my first car but the silver paint job wasn't the greatest and it still seemed to work okay. It was originally recommended to me by a friend that used it on his 1940 show car that had around 10 coats of black laquer and it looked fantastic. However, his car wasn't a daily driver and I'm just curious if anyone has used it on their 4Runner and what the results were. My '06 is Galactic Grey so I'd most intersted if anyone with a darker color has used it before.

Bro, You need to use Zaino. This is the best wax I have ever used, easy on easy off and it will last at least 4 months, I am talking heavy beading too. You can get it at zainobros.com

I've tried Liquid Glass and frankly wasn't all that impressed.

I used Zaino back in 03 when I had my G35. Nice product but pretty time consuming when it came right down to it.

Since I've had my 06 Runner, I've used Prestone Synthetic wax (I think that's what it's called, it's a tall blue and yellow bottle) and Zymol. Both have been very good.

Just my two cents.

I've never personally used it, but to get the best results you need to follow the directions too the tee.....you have to apply it then let it bake in the sun....very time consuming and very specific instructions.

I personally use Poor Boy's Natty's Paste Wax as my final coat and then sometimes I'll throw on a coat of Four Star Ultimate Paint protection, which is a synthetic wax sealer.

Let me know if you need help some time.....I'm over in Golden.....:biggrin2:

I've used Liquid Glass on previous vehicles that I have owned - mostly light colored cars (nothing black or dark). A lot of work goes in to application and buffing using LG. And brad6841 is right about the recommended "baking" process to help seal the wax. The shine was quite good, and it seemed to hold its bead for some time.

But for me, ease of application became much more important, so I have since switched to Mequiar's waxes and have not been disappointed. LG was also getting to be very pricey (and for me hard to locate).
