Little black "box"

otter boxes guys they do work yo!!! I was at a construction site with buddy of mine while he was running shingles on the roof of this house one day (he has an Iphone 4 with otter box) His phone was down in his truck near where i was and it started ringing. he asked me to toss it up to him so i threw it up from the concrete driveway to the top ridge of a 2 story house needless to say he fumbled the catch allowing the phone to plumit back to the concrete i picked it up no cracks on the phone the otter case was scatched pretty bad but threw it back up to him he caught it the second time and called his girl back. just thought id share a funny off topic story.

I go back and forth on cases. I find that all phone manufacturers do a great job designing the top notch phones and as a consumer you make a certain amount of your decision based off of the looks of the phone. Yet, most will immediately run out and put a cheap, oversized box on it.

I'm on the other side, I don't put a cover on and I take my chances. I carry the cheap insurance on Sprint and if something happens, I spend the $100 to have a new phone sitting on my step the next day.

However, if I was in the field all day, I'd probably change my mindset.

I'm with Husker on this one. Yes the otter box is a good product, but I can't stand to have anything on my phone. Even those "thin" cases.

I don't like the bulk of phone cases (especially those huge otters). I keep my phone in my pocket and refuse to clip it to my belt or keep it in a case.

I think the companies spend all these development resources to make our equipment thinner and sleeker (and tough) and don't want to undo that with a case. They just feel bulky and awkward to me, and some hang up in my pocket if it's the rubberized type.

Thanks though Aha! You're still my boy!

yeah i never said i liked the looked of the otter box i like the look of the iphone plain way better; however, I like the look of my iphone to stay that way so i sacrifice the bulky ass otter box. plus im in an out of a fab shop all day sometimes running milling machines when the machinist is out sick whilst answer emails via iphone from our vendor engineering help. it def. keeps all the metal shavings far away damaging the phone. however, fyi: dont set your phone on an industrial size welder (with or without a case lol) the polarity will fry the circuitry inside the phone...who knew...

+1 for droid, lot more functionality
+1 for apple-phone hardware is untouchable by the competition

Brings to mind a song I heard them making fun of on the radio... parachute
