Little help for a nube

So there I was getting new rims and tires for my 2003 limited 4 Runner. Took off the studs (256/70R17's) and told the fellow at the shop I wanted the same size tire on the new rims. Drove it home and the rubber looked small. low and behold "due to the spacing on the aftermarket tires" says the fellow.P265/65R17's went on."I guess I should have explained that to you before they went on."
I am now chasing a leveling or lift kit so I don't look like I am rolling in the hood and I can hit some trails this summer. I have the air suspension & XRAS (stock) in the rear. I spoke to a guy at a local shop here and he did not sound positive a bought what I need to get back into a bigger tire. He was pushing a 2.5" leveling kit(Dystar). $350.00 installed.
I would love some feedback from the community before my truck rides nose high because of a bad decision. Thanks!

I'm confused.

You asked for the same size tire 265/70R17 (you wrote 256/70, I assume mistype) and you got 265/65R17 on aftermarket wheels, right? And now you want to lift it because 'you don't want to look like you're rollin in the hood'? So you effectively

First, it looks pretty good. I'm not sure what rollin in the hood looks like, but to me it would need at least 22" wheels and chrome.

Second, lifting it will make it look goofy. Maybe level it, but don't lift it.

Third, you should go back to the guy and get the tires you wanted.

Thanks for the impute Ducmonsta, the 256/70 was a mistake. The tire store has a 30 day ride guarantee and I have already spoke to them. I can get the tires I want no problem.
I am thinking a leveling kit is going to do it over a lift after doing some research.

$350 installed for 2 front leveling spacers that costs ~50 bucks sounds like they are bending you over

Make sure they are very careful working on the XREAS suspension, don't disconnect any hydraulic lines on the shock bodies...because once you let the fluid it out, good luck getting it back in, lol.
