Little mod cuz I got bored. Usb port in 4runner

Hey guys my pioneer deck has a usb cable running into my glovebox that I use every once and awhile. I thought it would be cool to integrate it into the runner better so I took one of the blanks from the dash and started hacking away. Considering I've used my dremel twice I think it came out as good as I could get it. I cut a hole large enough for the usb to fit through then I had to sand down the back so that it made a good connection with the port. Once that was done I just glued the port to the back of the blank. The usb is a nerf gun in case you were wondering what it is suppose to be.

Cool Idea! One thing I would do though....maybe take that same dremmel and used a small round, sanding bit, to clean up the edges. I think if you got rid of all the little dips and valleys in the cuts, it may even look OEM!

Thanks ill try that I was just afraid I was going to slip and mess it up. The hole for the port is like 2mm longer then it needs to be and that's already driving me crazy.

Good idea! Maybe paint that blank black? It might not show the rough edges as much

I was thinking about that but I think the black would stick out to much.

Yea you are probably right with the oak interior. I think if you just cleaned up the edges it would look close to stock! Nice job
