Lone star toyota jamboree 2012

I know someone already posted this question in general disscussion but this is for 3rd geners.
Is anyone headed to the Lone star toyota jamboree this weekend? I was really wanting to go, and I might still try to make it.
The only three things holding me back is gas prices, money overall, and my 4runner's health after I flooded it. This is when I really wish I had 4x4.\

To bad I'm 2wd and have you gone before??? .

My 2 best Friends have a lifted taco and runner 4gen and all of them are 2wd........ /: lol

It is quite a drive from Houston but one of the best Toyota events in the country.

Lone Star Toyota Jamboree | April 19th - 22nd 2012, Gilmer, Texas |

well worth the trip and the raffle prizes are pretty good this year again. Wheels, tools, parts, gear...exc... Last I talked to them, they had several thousand dollars worth of prizes.

But the best part of all is getting to hang out with your Toyota Buddies and vendors like Demello, Rocktek Customs, Pathfinder Recovery, Bear Traks, ARB, Toy-Tech, Iron Man and so on.

No I havent gone before sadly. I'm trying my best to be able to go this time. Well worth the dive.

Haha good one dude ^...Yeah man I live in the Cinco area. Grew up of Mason Rd and Franz and my parents live off Barker and Clay so I am all around Katy...Probably bc I work a month on month off and am typing from Bolivia right now! Havnt had my 4runner for too long maybe a year and its only been lifted for 3 months now 2 of which have been sitting in my driveway while im out of the country somewhere. Cool to see some more katy people man...any good place for parts? I need a front bumper BAAADDDD....My buddy just got home from AZ in fab school so I think we will start a plate bumper build soon so maybe if more people are around we can help the guy out with some builds...he does awesome work like amazing work. He had the first ever ranger edge that layed frame on bags...only because his dad took off the 6" lift after he got in a little trouble offroading haha

I know shrockworks is in Houston and they make great ****, but most off road shops in Houston are for mall crawlers. It would be sick if your buddy could fab me a bumper! When do you get back?we need to get together with Michael833.
 
Yeah and PhdNPrerunners is another guy who PMd me and said he will be moving to katy soon as well...I will be home on the 8th late that night and I am working night shift here so give me a few days to get back to normal and im there! DUDE shrockworks is in houston?! hahaha how did I never catch this? I had no clue they were right here next to me the whole time!! I will keep you guys posted and maybe we can put together a small group of us around town to meet up now and then...my other buddy who lives in San Marcos, TX is from katy, he went back to college after getting his mech license at UTI so hes bad ass with a wrench too and drives a 01 4runner sport with a bit of a lift so we can add him to the list whenever he comes in town. Thinking its time for crawfish boil when i get back maybe we could put something together... :hungry:
 
Yea we need to do something when you get here for sure. It's good to have mechanically inclined friends, especially when you wheel your rig.
