I'm going to be heading out to the Lone Star Toyota Jamboree May 4-7 2017. I think it would be fun to get a group together and do some wheeling. We could have a meet and greet sometime before we go out there so we can get to know each other!

Looking at the webpage, they are stock friendly and will have an offroading 101 class as well. Sounds like an amazing time!

I'm planning on getting a hotel in one of the nearby towns. I'm working on a couple things to the rig before I go.

Let's all get together when it gets a little cooler. We could have a garage day, wrench on some trucks - make some friends.

I don't have the biggest driveway, but I have a mass of tools - oh and beer.

Hey guys, I attended the Jamboree this year and it was awesome. Very well organized with lots of classes and guided runs. I took my stock 4Runner and had plenty of trails to try out. I stayed in a motel right there in Gilmer.I plan on going this upcoming year as well. A closer event timeline wise for us in the San Antonio area is the upcoming FJ Fallout held at Hidden Falls Adventure Park in Marble Falls. I believe it is being held October 13th -16th. Looks like a lot of fun and Hidden Falls has lots of trails for all levels of vehicles.

I'm going again next year for sure, but this time with a 5th gen. Ive been twice already and I love it. We stay at a hotel too, but it's about 25 mins away (Longview, TX). Lots of food places. A get together would be awesome.

I have been to a couple of the Jambos so far. They are a really good time. My wife and I always camp out on site there. It really is not that bad camping on site. I had my '01 4Runner there last time but look to have my '87 4R there again next time.

If you don't mind the drive, we stay at a La Quinta in Longview. A lot of eating places as well.
