I think manual operation of the fuel pump before trying to start it would solve it. American cars cycle the pump for three seconds at key on.

That's what I am thinking. As our pumps do not turn on until the starter is activated.

I noticed cold start is close to 2 seconds. Warm start is always alot quicker.
