Long days, pleasant nights from central WI!
Greetings TR4 members, happy to be a part. Making my humble introductions as a 1st time TR4 owner. I had an old '90 T100? Corn field runner in college but that was then.
Now: I picked up this 1997 Limited from the 3rd owner. It has 250k on the clock and I paid $4350 and a case of Spotted Cow for it. Besides the lights, basket, rocker bars, K&N, and head unit this is a bone stock runner. I like that. I like the fact I have a stack of receipts and I like the fact all maintenance is up to date (2 timing belts done). At the beginning of our 4runner search I did a bunch of research on this site and I am also glad to say most, if not all, of the information 4-Ripcord put together was already addressed. Shocks, ball joints, rotors, radiator, axle seals etc. Very well maintained with proof, and it really shows. Midwest vehicle with very minimal surface rust on the undercarriage, that is it. Little crack in the drivers leather, weather-tech mats its whole life (stock mats still clean) rear window still works and so does the clock! Tires are good as well. All original parts were included
And if feels great to drive it.
I'd like to upgrade the stock speakers and maybe see if heated seats from a 2000 or similar will transfer over. It's been a long and cold winter.
I really don't have many things I want to do besides get it out with a canoe on the top and a bunch of smiles out the windows.
