Longer front shocks/coils for a lift?

Is there any way to utilize a longer front shock along with the factory coil to get a bit of a front lift. I am looking to try and get about a 1.5

Any recommendations on a good coil that will work to give it a 1.5" to 2" lift? I need something that will retain the factory ride as it will not be going offroad just need to get rid of the "nose down" look.

Didn't you just lift your 4Runner this weekend? What are you trying to do?

It's too bad you didn't tell me that you wanted 1.5 inches of lift. I still have a 1.5 inch spacer kit to sell.

In my opinion, a 2 inch front lift it a little too much if you're not going to touch the rear suspension. You'll end up a bit nose high and butt low.

A 1.5 inch front lift is as high as I would go without also lifting the rear. That's why my spacers only go up to 1.5 inches in front.

I added Daystar spacers that lifted the front almost exactly 2" this weekend and it looks great. I wouldn't want anything smaller. It is perfect. The back still sits a bit higher.

The problem with the lift is now I have developed a type of clunking sound everytime I go over a bump.

I assume that it is the spacers so I am probably going to have to take them out. (I am not sure it is the spacers but the noise wasn't there before).

I am trying to figure out what my options are in case I have to remove the spacers.

If I am going to remove them then I need to have a plan already created because now that I have seen what lifting the front can do-I am not going back to an unlifted front!!!!

Are the Daystar spacers plastic? You could always go with aluminum instead.

I figured that the plastic type would be better as they should provide a cushion between the metal parts. Not sure if that was the correct logic now or not.
The other reason that I went with the plastic type is that my other half thought the plastic spacers looked less obvious since they were black and kind of blend in.

I guess it's a personal decision, but I would never choose plastic over metal when it comes to something installed on the suspension. I guess I'm just not too trusting in poly spacers.

And I kinda like the look of the machined aluminum spacers on top of the spring....but you could always paint it black if you want it to look more stealth.

Correctly installed you should have no noise, I don't. Check to see if your sway bar brackets are fully tightened.

i too have the 2 inch daystar and wouldnt want anything less. the rear is still .5 inch higher. mine doesnt make any noise over bumps. make sure that everything got tightened back down when reinstalling the suspension, and that you/the shop, didnt forget to do something when putting it all back together.
