Longer Wheel Stud Safe for .5" Spacer?

Hey guys.

I tried out some 1.25" spacers on the stock wheel studs and didn't like how they look, so I'm looking for something more minimal.

If I replace my wheel studs with something that is .5" longer than stock, and used .5" hubcentric spacers, would this be viable? If so, is it safer than using the aforementioned 1.25 spacers where you have an entirely different set of studs to mount to?

Most people using "spacers" on here are actually using hub adapters like Spidertrax (yes they're called spacers but they're fundamentally different in function).

I just realized that what I want would eliminate the stability of the bore that sits inside the wheel, and I definitely don't want that. Disregard this post!

bora makes 1 inch hub centric spacers. I think that would be a decent compromise.
