Look what I found on CL ATLANTA !!!

I added the craigslist app to my android thinking it would be a cool way to quickly get notified when 4runner stuff gets listed, but its always so littered with scams its hard to even sort thru them all sometimes. I'll bet if they stopped scamming on CL, there would only be a few ads a day at most! Its very frustrating....

reminds me of the TOY YODA scam a few years back

remember the radio ad where they got folks running to a dealership for a great deal on a Toyota ? only to find out they were giving out TOY YODA figurines.... lots of people got burned on that one.

I sure hope no one on here really sent money. There have been several of these in the Denver metro area, and they even have a legit address. I call em and they are always like:

"Well that one is gone but we have another similar one for just a bit more...." that would be a textbook example of bait and switch....

But I feel sorry for those who do get scammed, but they need to educate themselves before any thing goes through. :ybrick:

Glad you were kidding. I once wrote a guy back with a cheap 4Runner and he said it was in Iowa and he was fighting overseas and some guy bought it in Atlanta, but he backed out and he already paid for shipping. If I could buy through e-bay, it will make sure he is legit and plus you could trust him. I wrote him back and asked him, which side he was fighting on, the terrorist? (There is a old thread about this,)

It is amazing it could be posted, we really need cyber cops. I had to throw away my first computer due to malware, shouldn't the people that did that be responsible for that and pay for damages??? It is hard to go onto Craigslist and get a legit buyer or seller. Kind of wierd, all the wierdos come out on the computer. Not to mention all the spam we get on this site. OK, enough of my complaining.:redbrick:
