Lookin at a 98 T4R, any pointers before I buy?

I have my eye on a 98 with 141k, 4cyl, 5sp and its 2wd. Dont have any experiance with these so i found this place.

Any input for things to look for, or things that commonly go wrong or well just about anything i should before i go into buying this truck would be awesome.

Things id like to know are, the HP/Tq ratings. And what kind of MPG i should expect would be nice also.
