Looks like a great truck. Clean and not too badly priced. Not sure what the price are like in your area so I can't comment of that but looks nice. I did notice there were no rear head rests in the pics you posted though. I'd use the fact that it needs tires as a bargaining point. Find out when the last timing belt and water pump was done...should be done every 90K miles. I do have cupholder envy though :bash: .

the million dollar question is does it have the e-locker??? guess it only matters if you're gonna wheel it...
on mine the 4 wheel drive light blinks when it is in the process of engaging and disengaging 4x4 mode, and remains steady on after its engaged. So in the picture shown posted above it is in 4 wheel drive with the center diff locked... I can't remember right now if it lights up no matter what with just the battery on.

The drip in the sunroof could be as simple as the drain holes for the sunroof being blocked. Open up the roof and take a look in at the gap in between where the glass would normally cover. There are 2 small holes on each side towards the front of the car. These often get plugged up. You could have the deal ship blow these out with some compressed air and see if it cure the issue. I rarely see anyone with the actual sunroof seal go bad or leak.

- I have an LC, so the A-pillar drains being blocked occurred to me. Simple routing out with grass trimmer line should fix if that's the problem. If not, some other epoxy sealant will as the seam for the glass trim piece is on the front edge (which seems odd to me)
- Truck is leaning because of parking lot slope.
- Headrests were in the truck when I looked at it, that pic came from the owner
- I tested the E-locker and it seemed to be working fine. The light was on because I had flipped the switch while parked and it hadn't had a chance to engage / disengage yet.
- Don't know about the water pump, good question. Simple job though if it needs changing.
- Starting price was $8K, so owner has come down some due to tires but those are going to set me back $1K if I get Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos which I have on the LC.

Second, compressed air could make your life a whole lot harder, if you blow the tube off of the sunroof, your going to be pulling the headliner to reattach them, they are just a nylon tube w/ a light duty spring clamp holding them in place. Usually they end up "glued" in place, but it would suck to blow one off and potentially dump water into the headliner.
As far as the truck, looks pretty clean overall, and less than i paid for my 00 SR5 about a year ago. Mine had a few less miles though.

I just got a '99 LTD for $9000 after tax and license. It had 118K miles and also needed new tires. I am very pleased with it.
I suggest getting one size taller-than-stock tires. They will fill up the wheel well nicely and will not rub. At least my BFG all-terrains do not rub.
My tow hitch was rusty also. I took it off, sanded and steel-wooled the rust off, then painted it black again. I left it off because I do not tow, but can put it back on anytime.
I also took off the running boards to make it look a bit tougher.
Anyone want to buy some running boards?
My antenna does not work either. It stays down and the reception is not the best. I plan to replace it with a non-moving black tacoma antenna. I found your post because I searched "antenna".

Hey skywalker, why Tacoma antenna? I have seen people mention that before. Why not an antenna from a parts store? As I did.skywalker1020 said:

It was always leaning off the truck with half of the hole exposed. And I would also imagine your antenna is just a standard silver antenna. The Tacoma one will definately fit like stock, looks great because its black, and its a whip style antenna that can take a beating like you wouldn't believe.

I'm 90% of the way there on this truck, but have to figure out how to get new tires out to the truck and have them installed before I drive it back home (about 3 hrs away). No way am I going to drive it back with the existing tires. I am thinking of taller tires 'cause I have them on my LC and they look good.
How do 285/75-16's sound?

Unfortunately you won't be able to fit that size without a mild lift on the truck. Tallest you will be able to go is a 265/75-16. Can you contact a local tire sales place in the area where you are picking up the truck and just drive it down the road and have the install done?

If I were you I would bite the bullet and shell out an extra 3 grand for this low mileage limited with lift, supercharger, new tires and the rare third row seat.....

97-4xFunner: Just like TRD_4runnin says, I want a high quality durable, good-looking antenna that fits just right. The tacoma black whip antenna fits this bill. I do not believe that it is very expensive (I'll do the work myself) and since it is non-powered, it will not stop working.
zcruiser: Yes, 265/75 R16 is the size you want without a lift. Just one size taller than stock. This will give a good look to the truck, a tiny improvement off-road, and is too small of a difference to mess up the gear ratios and speedometer/ odometer readings much. It is a mild difference, but worth it to me.
az4runner: That is an incredible runner on craigslist. Unfortunately, he lives 3000 miles away in north carolina. Maybe you should buy that one. If it had a manual transimission, I would consider it, I'm just 100 miles away.

I would take the smaller tires and the fact that its an Arizona truck over the high mileage one from the east coast. The extra money you would spend would well be worth it, but its your purchase so good luck.
