Looking at a 2004 - 88k $12k

Looking at a 2004 with 88k miles. V6, 2WD, SR5 with leather, but not sport package.

Does that sound like a good deal? I know the timing belt needs to be done soon. It does have a tiny bit of bumper damage that the dealership is going to fix, but no other issues. I'm confident the bumper damage is not indicative of more serious damage that I'm not seeing.

Thoughts?

2WD not a good deal... It is like to look cool but have nothing to back you up. IMHO you can find something cheaper 2WD for you money.

The V6 has a timing chain so there is no need to change it. If you are not going off road or in an area where you will get in snow 2wd should be ok

:iagree: You have Toyota reliability. You still will have great suspension and a great freeway flyer.

For comparison, a buddy of mine bought one last month.
2003 SR5 V6 4wd with 78k. JBL stereo and sunroof package $12,500 out the door.

If you plan on EVER taking your vehicle into snow, get a 4WD. You will be happy you did. The V6 can roll all the time in 2WD giving you good gas mileage and there when you need it 4WD.

I just sold my 04 SE V8 4WD privately for $12,700. It had 83k on it. That is actually pretty good considering the market is so bad....you can do better than 12k.
